Description
A great opportunity to work with one of Australia’s leading Lindy Hoppers, Leigh Richards, who is teaming up with Scott Cupit for a high level workshop immersed in history, technical nuggets and some great dancing. Leigh and Scottie have taught a weekly class and at festivals together for the last four years and you can tell they are great pals. Their classes always have laughter and a passion for this dance and history nuggets are always part of every session. Take a chance and get involved!
This special workshop is all about 8-count Lindy Hop—the rhythm and movement that gives the dance its unmistakable feel.
This is for those that can already swing out and keen to move to the next level. Along the way, we’ll focus on great technique, musicality, and the confidence to use what you’ve learned on the social dance floor.
As always, Leigh & Scottie will sprinkle in stories from Lindy Hop’s rich history, along with plenty of laughs and their relaxed, encouraging teaching style.
A great way to enjoy the Christmas break all inspired and with new concepts to take into the new year.

Join our teachers and start off your journey into Lindy Hop with a solid foundation. Learning how to Lead or Follow, we'll teach all of the basic, core skills and help you to dance with confidence.
You will need to have completed at least 2 rounds of the 6 week Fundamentals course to join this group where the teachers will continue building your repertoire, skills and confidence on the dance floor.
You will need to have completed at least 3 rounds of the 6 week Improvers course to join this group where the teachers will continue building your repertoire, skills and confidence on the dance floor.
Join The Swing Era's annual Halloween swing dance for a spooky night of costumes, social dancing, a beginner taster lesson, great music and prizes. Costumes encouraged, all welcome—come solo or with friends for a frightfully fun evening!
